Discover Over 200 Tropical Animals

Our small but perfectly formed zoo is home to more than 200 tropical animals from across South America. Come face to face with our magnificent jaguar, watch our playful monkeys swing through the trees and marvel at our elegant flamingos.

You will also meet our beautiful ocelot, powerful pumas, gentle tapir and an intriguing collection of snakes, along with many more species waiting to be discovered around every corner.

Step Inside the Tropical House

For a true taste of the rainforest, head into our tropical house. Here you can watch the spectacled caiman lying in wait at the water’s edge, come eye to eye with the mighty green anaconda and follow the endlessly busy trails of our leaf cutter ants as they carry their harvest home. It is a warm, humid slice of the Amazon right here in Norfolk.

Hear the Sounds of the Amazon

You will often hear Amazona Zoo before you see it. Our noisy macaws provide a colourful and characterful soundtrack to your day, filling the air with the unmistakable calls of the South American rainforest. Keep your eyes peeled as you explore, too. Our friendly mara roam freely around the site, so you never know when one of these charming creatures might cross your path.
